We are committed to providing information and advice to our
residents and businesses about any known or potential
emergency.

Local Authority Districts and Borough Councils.
What is the Council's Role?
In response to a major emergency, the Council will, as far as
possible:
- Work with the Emergency Services and other
organisations
- Help the victims
- Maintain services
- Protect the environment
- Work with the community to restore normality
- Offer advice to local businesses on how to make arrangements to
deal with the impact of a major incident or disaster.
We can also offer advice to local businesses
about preparing to enhance their own resilience in the event of an
emergency in the district.
