Access to Shopping and Facilities in Bassetlaw
Shopmobility is a free service provided by Bassetlaw Distict
Council which is available to anyone who has limited
mobility. This could be through a long or short term physical
impairment or illness an accident or advancing age.
The scheme enables disabled people to loan a scooter or
wheelchair to travel around the Town Centre within the boundary
limit.
How to become a Member
You will be asked to complete a simple registration form.
For this you will need to:
- Bring two forms of identification
- Payment of £1.60
- Have your photograph taken for the membership card
You can either download a copy of the
registration form and fill it in at home. Or call in at
one of the Shopmobility sites where you can fill one in. If
you require any help with the form, staff are available at the
sites.

Saturday.
How to Make Your Booking
Please telephone our office to make sure that a
scooter/wheelchair is available. The equipment may be booked for
two hours maximum or longer if the equipment is available on
quieter days. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you no longer require a scooter/wheelchair that has been
booked, please be kind enough to give us a cancellation call.

Using the Equipment
Our staff will ensure that you have full training before going
out with the equipment. You will be required to sign training and
insurance forms.
Car Parking
There is parking for Disabled Badge Holders
outside the ShopMobility Units at the Priory Centre Car Park in
Worksop and Chancery Lane Car Park in Retford.
