vibrant cities of Sheffield (to the North) and Nottingham (to the
south).
Both the M1 and A1 pass through our area and the East Coast Mainline guarantees
regular trains to London or north to Yorkshire and beyond.
Bassetlaw’s population of 111,400 is spread across 63,687 hectares
of vast open countryside, forests and parklands.

and play with a lower cost of living is lower than in nearby
cities.
The District has two main population centres, the market towns
of Worksop and Retford, which offer a wealth of shopping,
