Ceremony for the Admission of Honorary Freeman

On Tuesday 20 March 2012 at an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council, the title of Honorary Freeman is to be conferred upon Lee John Westwood OBE. The Ceremony will take place at 1:00pm at Retford Town Hall.

This will be the first time that the title of Honorary Freeman has been bestowed upon a Bassetlaw citizen since Bassetlaw District Council was created in 1974, and members of the public are cordially invited to attend this event.

However, entrance to the ceremony will be on a first come first served basis and once the Town Hall has reached its capacity, there will be no further admittance.

Members of the public should also be advised that car parking in Retford will be limited on the day as the Chancery Lane North and the Churchgate car parks will not be in use.
