Bassetlaw District Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee
will be carrying out a “Review of the Future of Services at
Bassetlaw District General Hospital” as part of its work programme
for the municipal year.
The review will hear from a range of different parties and
invite key individuals from the health service to contribute. The
meetings will be open and held in public so anyone wishing to
attend may do so.
Councillor Griff Wynne, Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny
Committee at Bassetlaw District Council said:
“There is a huge amount of public concern surrounding the Future
of Services at Bassetlaw Hospital, so much so that this was the
only health topic submitted to the Committee for review.
As a District Council, we have a community leadership role to
fulfil and by conducting an open and transparent Scrutiny Review
into the hospital we can help the public to address their concerns.
The review will be an open process and we will be shortly
announcing details of the scrutiny panel, the scope of the review
and future meeting dates.”
The Overview & Scrutiny Committee will also be reviewing
Bassetlaw District Council Local Lettings and Choice Based Lettings
Policies, Civic Pride in Worksop and the District, Attracting new
businesses to rural areas/access to rural services and Litter and
the night time economy.
