How Your Council Tax is Set

Your Council Tax is split into five different areas, who each receive a proportion of the amount you pay.

This year 2011/12 there was no increase in Bassetlaw Council Tax for all four of the major authorities.

Where each £100 of your Council Tax goes (last year’s comparison is in brackets)

Fire Authority £4.42 £4.42
Police Authority £10.16 £10.16
Bassetlaw District Council £9.70 £9.70
Nottinghamshire County Council £75.72 £75.72

The figures exclude parish charges.
