Welcome to the Customer Services page of the
Bassetlaw District Council website. The aim of this page is to give
you an insight into the work of the Customer Services team and the
service you can expect to receive.
The Customer Service Team operates from two
One Stop Shops at Worksop and Retford and also the Harworth Area
Office.
The One Stop Shops offer a range of
services and advice and are accessible to all. You can
expect an excellent service as we always endeavour to meet high
standards that are set out in our citizens charter, and we have
been awarded Charter Mark for our excellence in Customer
Service.
We work closely with other organisations to
provide you with access to a wider range of services. These
organisations include A1 Housing, Nottinghamshire County
Council and the Citizens
Advice Bureau.
Because of this partnership working you can
call in to a One Stop Shop for advice on

- Social Services
- Welfare Rights
- Debt Recovery

- Highways
This is just an example of some of the things
you could see an advisor about. We can help you with
any council enquiry.
However, the work of Customer Services does
not stop there. There are a number of initiatives we are involved
with to help making access to our services easier for the
community. Customer Service staff hold drop in surgeries at
different locations to make contact with the council easier. These
are currently being held in Tuxford, Langold and Misterton.
We also have Help Points around the district.
